Greater Things Are Yet to Come

Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."

What did the Lord mean by "greater things?" How could anyone surpass the deeds of Jesus? He healed the sick, walked on water, restored sight to the blind, made the lame walk again and raised a a friend from the dead. I'm assuming that he meant that we as his disciples would do things that are greater, not in quality but in extent. Maybe Jesus meant by greater things that we as his disciples should produce moral and spiritual revolutions. For instance....at Pentecost the apostles converted 3,000 in one day.
