SURRENDER

The word "surrender" has recently invaded my heart. As I am getting older, I am realizing that surrender is not something I do once. Surrender is always seeking to obey the best I can. I may lose a life but I gain a life. For many of us, we see in the end that nothing we lost was really worth keeping anyway.

I remind myself that Jesus prayed, "Not my will - but yours be done." And just as surrender led to the resurrection for Jesus, so it does for his followers.

Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ. I no longer live but Christ lives in me.
